JAMS is the largest private alternative dispute resolution provider in the world, specializing in complex, multiparty, business, commercial and construction claims.
To assist in the legal education of the construction industry, John has given various seminars on the following topics: Louisiana Public Works Lien Law; Louisiana Private Works Lien Law; Miller Act Liens; Louisiana Public Bid Law; Suicidal Subcontract Clauses; Show Me the Money, Louisiana Collections Law; and The AIA 2007 Forms vs. Consensus Docs.
In an effort to give back to the communities of Northwest Louisiana, in appreciation for the opportunities afforded him, John has also been involved in many community organizations: Shreveport Chapter, Associated General Contractors (General Counsel, (1998-Present); Advisory Counsel, Chairman (2000-2001)); Bossier Chamber of Commerce (Director (1999-2001); Small Business Person of the Year Award, Professional Category – 1999).
John is also actively involved in numerous professional associations, including: The Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel; Defense Research Institute; American Bar Association, Forum on the Construction Industry Committee; Louisiana State Bar Association, Fidelity, Surety and Construction Section; American Inns of Court, Harry Booth & Henry Politz Chapter; Associated General Contractors, Shreveport Chapter – Associate Member; and Northwest Louisiana Home Builders Association.
